#17 Tongue twister: Fred & Ted

❗️Challenge yourself with this tongue twister today:

▶️ Fred fed Ted bread and Ted fed Fred bread.

Translation:
Fred Tedni non bilan boqdi va Ted Fredni non bilan boqdi.

❗️Pay attention to:

🔘 Intonation – strong / weak: Names, numbers, nouns and adjectives often sound stronger because they carry more meaning than other words. Verbs, function words and repeated words are usually not so strong.

❗️Challenge yourself with this tongue twister:

▶️ When a doctor doctors a doctor, does the doctor doing the doctoring doctor as the doctor being doctored wants to be doctored or does the doctor doing the doctoring doctor as he wants to doctor?

Translation:
Qachonki do'ktor do'ktorni davolasa, do'ktorni davolayotgan do'ktor davolanayotgan do'ktorni xohishiga ko'ra davolayabtimi yoki u davolash davolayotgan do'ktorni davolash xohishimi?

❗️Pay attention to:

🔘 Intonation – sentence stress: Help your listener understand the meaning with strong intonation of key words.

❗️Challenge yourself with this tongue twister:

▶️ Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair, Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't very fuzzy, was he?

Translation:
Fuzzy Wuzzy bitta ayiq edi, Fuzzy Wuzzyning sochi yo’q edi, Fuzzy Wuzzy juda ham fuzzy (=momiq) emas edi, shundaymi?

❗️Pay attention to:

🔘 Linking – Consonants in end position and vowels in beginning position are linked together.

🔘 Weak forms – The final word “he” is pronounced without the [h] and therefore gets linked to the previous word.
