Electoral Rights of an imprisoned person and convicted person in India
1.A convicted person, sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years or more are disqualified from contesting elections for six years from the date of release from the jail.
2.A person confined in a prison cannot vote.
3.Accused persons in prison can contest polls
4.A person under preventive detention is entitled to vote in an election.
भारत में कैद व्यक्ति और दोषी व्यक्ति के चुनावी अधिकार
1. 2 साल या उससे अधिक की कैद की सजा पाए दोषी व्यक्ति को जेल से रिहाई की तारीख से छह साल तक चुनाव लड़ने के लिए अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया जाता है।
2.जेल में बंद व्यक्ति मतदान नहीं कर सकता।
3.जेल में बंद आरोपी व्यक्ति चुनाव लड़ सकते हैं
