Today we will tell you the secrets of using place prepositions โ€“ IN, ON, AT.

๐Ÿ“Ž IN used:

๐Ÿ”น When something is literally, physically inside: in the meeting room, in the office.
๐Ÿ”น With the names of cities and countries (in Norway, in Riga), parts of world (in the north, in the west) and with words 'picture', 'photo' (in the picture, in the photo).

๐Ÿ“Ž ON used:

๐Ÿ”น When the object is located on the surface of something: on the floor, on the table.
๐Ÿ”น When the object is settled on something similar to a line or a strip: on the beach, on the coast, on the road.
๐Ÿ”น When the object is on public transport (on a bus, on a train), but โ—๏ธIN a taxi, IN a car.
๐Ÿ”น When something is part of the Internet: on the Internet, on a website, on YouTube.
๐Ÿ”น With some common phrases: on the left/right, on the floor, on the menu, on a map, on a list, on the way.

๐Ÿ“Ž AT used:

๐Ÿ”น When something is located in a specific place, point or full address: at the bus stop, at 89, Green Street.
๐Ÿ”น When the object is close to something: at the door (near the door), at sea (near the sea), at the table (near the table).
๐Ÿ”น When we talk about the events: at the conference, at the wedding, at the party.
๐Ÿ”น With some common phrases: at work, at home, at university, at the top/ bottom (meaning 'at the level of the top')

We continue to dive deep into the world of prepositions. Let's find out how to use time onesโคต๏ธ

๐Ÿ“Ž IN used:

๐Ÿ”น With years, months, decades, centuries: in 2022, in March, in the 2020s, in the 21st century
๐Ÿ”น With seasons and parts of a day: in summer, in the evening

๐Ÿ“Ž ON used:

๐Ÿ”น When we talk about days: on Monday, on Christmas Day
๐Ÿ”น With days + part of a day: on Sunday morning
๐Ÿ”น With dates: on the 4th of June

๐Ÿ“Ž AT used:

๐Ÿ”น When we talk about time: at 6 pm, at midnight
๐Ÿ”น With holiday periods: at Easter
๐Ÿ”น With some common phrases: at night, at the weekend, at lunch/dinner/breakfast time

โ• There are some cases when you don't need any preposition at all: next week, year, month; last night, year; this morning, month; every day, night, years; today, tomorrow, yesterday.
