Dear colleagues and friends, the editorial board of Research Result. Theoretical and Applied Linguistics issued an inner statement about repeated manuscript submission for the journal Research Result.Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. Extraction: The same author or authors or the same institutions could be published only once a year and on condition that their previous article(s) cited at least once in Scopus database not counting self-citation. Exceptions are possible for those authors whose articles are well-cited (more than twice or thrice a year).

📝How can keywords help you to promote your article and increase engagement of audience in your work❓🤔
Choosing keywords for manuscripts: Keywords are words that capture the essence of your paper. They make your paper searchable (and findable!) and ensure that you get more citations. Therefore, it is important to include relevant keywords to help others find your paper.
🦉 Tips for keywords selection:
- avoid too many single-words (unless it is necessary);
- try to use more general words instead of selecting a lot of specialized keywords;
- choose keywords that compliment the main topic of your research, including related words and/or methodology-specific terms;
- use terms which are recognizable and understood worldwide (unless they are your own inventions), use professional thesauri;
- test your selected keywords to see whether the search pull up similar articles and understand what your ‘competitors’ are.

🪧 Don’t forget that keywords may help editors to select reviewers.

📢 Step by step we progressed on to Introduction. Even if you’ve got through tons of literature and are ready to start a book, resist the temptation and keep the Introduction BRIEF.
Introduction should state the problem being investigated, its contextual background, and the reasons for conducting the research . State the questions you’re answering and explain any findings of others that you’re challenging or building on. Briefly and logically lead the reader to your research questions, hypotheses, and experimental design or method.

📍Scopus advises to use the past tense and avoid using the first-person perspective.

you studied the problem, identify the procedures you followed, and structure this information as logically as possible .

📍If your methods are new, you’ll need to explain them in detail .

📍If they’ve been published before, cite the original work, including your amendments if you’ve made modifications.

📍 Identify the equipment and the materials you used, specifying their source. State the frequency of observations and what types of data were recorded. Give precise measurements, stating their strengths and weaknesses when necessary. Name any statistical tests, so your quantitative results can be judged.

📍 You should also explain your criteria for selecting participants.

📍Journal metrics are a quantitative tool for helping you decide where to submit your manuscript for publication. However, any one metric only tells a part of the story of a journal’s quality and impact.
📍Each metric has its limitations so should never be considered in isolation. Use a few metrics together to reduce bias and ensure you get a rounded view.
📍You must never make a submission decision based solely on publication metrics.
📍There are many other qualitative aspects of a journal you should consider. These include its aims & scope, readership, and the material it publishes.
📍You should always be certain that your chosen journal is a good fit for the article you are about to write, otherwise the chances of your article being accepted will be limited.
