Is Vitamin D deficiency linked to stress?

Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin, is widely known for its ability to help keep bones healthy and strong, promotes cell growth, and benefits immune function.

Vitamin D is not believed to affect anxiety directly. Though it may be correlated with higher anxiety levels.

Researchers have found that many people who have depression/anxiety/stress also have low circulating levels of vitamin D in their blood. Researchers have also found possible associations between depression/stress/anxiety and low vitamin D levels in people with gout, chronic spinal cord injuries, stroke, and multiple sclerosis.Low levels of vitamin D have been associated with low mood, behavioral difficulties in children, and psychological difficulties in adults such as feelings of anxiety.

anyone using supplements needs to know this as they come with benefits BUT also possible risks and limitations.
